Come Wandering Souls & Find Your Way Home
When I hike in the woods, embraced by solitude, surrounded by the sun’s warm light, I feel as though I am in the presence of God. The purpose of this body of work is to capture the longing of my soul…. Nature is quiet, it is peaceful, it has no phones, no computers....it has no noise……there is silence. Over and over Scripture tells us to be silent, to be still and to listen.
This series was inspired by a hike on the Mountain to Sea Trail. As I came around the bend in the trail, the light was filtering through the trees and it felt as though I had stepped into His holy presence.
Isaiah 35:8 talks about the Holy Path… there is a Sacred Path we will walk into heaven. It is this Sacred Path that I continually try to capture and express in this body of work. It is a reminder to be still and know, to be silent and listen.
Habakkuk: 2:20 “…Let all the earth be silent before him.”
